Jasper

Nicknamed "The First Mountain City" and being considered the "Marble Capital" of Georgia, Jasper boasts of its deep roots and historical feel

A good way to describe Jasper would be "your introduction to the GA and Smoky Mountains." For many, Jasper is exactly that; the place you stop and hang out for a little while on your way to the apple festivals of Ellijay, the infamous train ride in Blue Ridge, the notorious Toccoa river for the best Trout fishing in the south, or maybe even Brasstown Bald in Blairsville. With great restaurants downtown, a duck pond and park, and the legendary Tate House just a couple miles down the road - Jasper is that perfect rest area to catch a breath of fresh air before "headin' to the mountains."
